COMMUNITY & CULTURE
At Cardamom Tented Camp, our commitment to sustainability goes hand in hand with supporting the local community and culture. We’re developing small-scale projects like growing potatoes in double buckets, building raised beds, and creating a simple herb garden. These initiatives, along with future plans for aquaponics, serve as models for sustainable living that we hope to share with the nearby village.
We’re also planning community education programs on waste management, composting, and sustainable farming, aiming to reduce pollution and protect the surrounding environment. Our English-speaking staff will offer free English classes at the local school, helping to empower the next generation.
Even the camp itself reflects our values—with reclaimed or fast-growing building materials sourced from local communities, designed to minimize impact on the protected rainforest around us. It’s all part of our mission to grow sustainably—together.
