Our Team

Before joining the Cardamom Tented Camp team in 2017 during the construction phase, Lodge Manager Allan Michaud worked as a wildlife photographer and environmental filmmaker. Allan moved to Cambodia in 2001 and has worked across the country.

Assistant manager. – Trained in management in Phnom Penh before joining us in 2022, a great addition to the team.

Head Guide – Thea is from Siem Reap, where he worked as a professional bird guide with the Sam Veasna Center for some time. A hardcore birder, he joined us in 2021.

Guide – Before joining the Cardamom Tented Camp team he worked as a jungle guide in his home town of Chipat, around 60km north east of CTC.

Head Cleaner – Before joining the Cardamom Tented Camp she worked in a number of hotels in her home town of Siem Reap.

Caretaker/Boat driver – Joined us in November 2022 as a guide but has recently moved to become our full time caretaker, looking after our electrics, plumbing and odd jobs.

Boat driver – Local fisherman from Trapeang Rung, lives on the border of our area and knows the river by the back of his hand.

Cook –  Originally from Siem Reap, came to us from Chipat in 2019. Leant her cooking skills with us and has proved a very reliable cook.

Cook – A native of Pursat who first joined us in 2020, before leaving after 18 months. She returned to work here for a second time in late 2022.

Boat driver/Cleaner – Joined as a cleaner, coming from Siem Reap. Tin has also had to learn the boat driving job while here.

Cleaner – From Siem Reap where she worked as a cleaner before joining us.
