Conservation Efforts of Wildlife Alliance

Located on an 18,000-hectare (180 km2) concession inside Botum Sakor National Park, Cardamom Tented Camp’s objective is to support the conservation efforts of Wildlife Alliance in cooperation with the local community.

Visitors will therefore be able to participate in the non-profit organization’s efforts to protect the evergreen forest and its wildlife by visiting the nearby Preak Tachan Patrol Station with Wildlife Alliance’s rangers and actively participate in conservation-related activities. These will include helping to replant indigenous trees in degraded parts of the concession, assisting rangers to set up camera traps and other conservation activities.

Through the unique interaction of visitors and rangers, guests will have the opportunity to learn about the prevailing wildlife, nature and the external influences that threaten this unique area.
