Award judges have recognised the importance of proactive partnerships and the camp’s unique business model — a model that has helped fund forest ranger patrols to keep the forest standing, all thanks to guests who want to support real conservation work and enjoy nature.

2025 – ICRT Southeast Asia Responsible Tourism Awards Gold Winner in the Nature-Positive category, recognizing Cardamom Tented Camp for its impactful conservation work and dedication to protecting Cambodia’s rich biodiversity through responsible tourism.

Recognized as a Nature Positive Tourism partner, Cardamom Tented Camp was acknowledged for its tangible contributions to biodiversity protection and ecosystem restoration. This recognition affirms our role as a responsible ecotourism operator working to ensure that tourism actively contributes to a net gain in nature.

2023 – Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific
Cardamom Tented Camp was ranked 5th among Cambodia’s top Beach, Island, and Upcountry Hotels in the prestigious Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2023. This honor highlights our unique position as a leading sustainable travel destination offering a blend of comfort, nature immersion, and conservation impact.

2022 – HICAP Sustainable Hotel Award for Climate Action
We were honored with the HICAP Sustainable Hotel Award for Climate Action for our dedicated efforts in preserving 180 square kilometers of rainforest in Botum Sakor National Park. This initiative plays a crucial role in carbon sequestration, biodiversity protection, and the global fight against climate change.

2019 – WTTC Tourism for Tomorrow Awards
As a global finalist in the World Travel & Tourism Council’s Tourism for Tomorrow Awards, Cardamom Tented Camp was celebrated for its excellence in sustainable tourism practices. The award recognized our innovative model of combining ecotourism with real-world conservation, particularly through our partnership with Wildlife Alliance to support ranger patrols and forest protection.
